New Program for Elite Players

May 17th, 2012

Northwest Utd has set up a new training initiative that will provide our Elite players with higher level training and create an even more competitive environment that will further advance their level of play and knowledge of the game.  Kristian Powell will run the program, working closely with the Puget Sound Premier League.  Through the program, PSPL will identify player candidates for PDP teams and provide recommendations for the Id2 program, which holds national events for elite players.  Also state teams are formed and play under the eyes of top college scouts, including those recruiting for the national team.   More information at www.usclubsoccer.org.

5-6 players from NW Utd premier teams will be selected based on recommendation of coaches and Kristian’s assessment of players he sees playing at a high level.  These NW Utd trainings are free of charge.  Kristian is recruiting high-level college players to assist and participate so our players have an opportunity working directly with players with skills and speed of the college player.  The first set of trainings are in July and are indicated below.  Please feel free to contact Kristian if you require any further information.

April 11th, 2012

(see this file for 2012/13 age grouping based on birth date.)

Northwest United is proud to announce next year’s coaches for its Boys and Girls programs – as in many clubs there has been some movement and changes.   We hope that everything we have done will in the end be in the best interest of the players of NWUnited.  Regardless of any changes we hope everyone will be back to enjoy the tournament season and league play simply for the love of the game.

The other huge addition is Geoff Martin – he has been active in the club for years as a top notch PSSA trainer.  He played his College Soccer at SPU.  Those who know Geoff marvel at his energy and knowledge of the game.

Gary at Fulham FC

December 19th, 2011

Here's Gary ready to see the Fulham lads put on their boots and have a go at a Premier League rival. (Note the three guards, obviously warned that a boisterous fan would be attending.)

The real reason Gary is in England.
